Instructor Al Prodonick
- Instructor Al Prodonick began Taekwondo training at age 13 with GM Tae Eun Lee Taekwondo School in Chesterville Ont.
- Winner of a gold medal in the men's heavyweight colour belt annual tournament 1990.
- A graduate of Sir Sandford Fleming College of both Fish & Wildlife Technician, and Police Foundations.
- Winner of the President's award for highest academic achievement, and the Phyllis MacNeil Fraser Estate award for most outstanding student 1999.
- Al has been a local Police Constable with the Peterborough Police since 1999. As a police official Al has spent 6 years on bicycle patrol, was awarded the Knights of Columbus award for Police officer of the year in 2004 for swimming into Little Lake to rescue a woman, and was awarded the Gold Lightning Bolt Award in 2012 for resuscitating a man with the Automatic Electric Defibrillator.
- Al has been an active volunteer in the community as the Special Olympics coordinator for central east Ontario 2000-2002, Cops for Cancer, Festival of Trees, Tim Hortons Camp Day, and the annual Christmas Cop Shop.
- Al obtained his Kukkiwon 3rd Dan in 2020 from Grand Master Nam-Sik Baik .
- Gold in poomsae and Silver in Kyorugi full contact sparring in men's 41+ heavyweight division 2019 Sport Taekwondo Canada Open.
